Some students understand english by listening to others speaking the language,but somehow these students are unable to speak in english.However there are some who neither understand nor able to speak the language.
A teacher in my school came down and shared a joke with us in the staffroom. One day she asked a student .
Teacher Noraini : Hairi, you havent't paid your school fees yet. When are you going to pay it?
Hairi : ( No answer.......he just looked at teacher's face blankly.)
Naim : Oiiiii....TEACHER TANYA, AWAT HANG TAK MAI SEKOLAH KELMARIN?
( translate: ooiii....teacher asked you why were you absent yesterday ?)
Hairi : Demam teacher....
( translate: I had fever teacher)
Teacher : Saya tanya bila awak nak bayar yuran sekolah.
( teacher repeated her question in Malay)
They both laughed and so did the others......They laughed but they didn't understand either.....
MORAL OF THE STORY. IF YOU WANT TO HELP OTHERS, MAKE SURE YOU YOURSELF UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN.
